This is Arden with her pediatrician at her nine month checkup yesterday. I am bewildered by the fact that she is 9 months old. To quote Hil's 98 year old grandmother “the days are long but the years are short.”
Anyway – she is changing as rapidly as ever. Now able to feed herself. Sitting up and clapping. Smiling more than ever. Playing with toys. Grabbing, investigating and putting anything, especially wood chips at the park, into her mouth. And squawking at you quite vociferously if you aren't cluing into what she is after fast enough. It is almost as though, in the past few weeks, she has figured out that if she wants to be heard, she is going to have to make some noise. And while I didn't think that it would be possible to have a child who is louder than the two who are already here, Arden seems intent on proving otherwise.
Anyway – the following three videos were all taken yesterday in my effort to capture some of the noises that she is making these days. I am doing my best to teach her some sign language – because it sure helped when it came to communicating with the other two – but something tells me that talking is not that far off!
