For the past few tuesdays, a neighbour and I have been trading off pre-schoolers. This is my week. From 9-11:30am we do a new activity about every 5 to 10 minutes. It is quite a roller coaster. For example, it took me a few minutes to get the paper laid out on the floor and the paints rehydrated. By the time I had started writing this post, the girls were using the paint brushes as drumsticks on the edge of the rinsing bowl. And now they say they are done. Hopefully, we will come back to it in a few minutes. But now they are headed into the backyard which, interestingly enough, allows for much better free play than most things we can dream up to do inside. They each have a doll and will likely spend the next 30mins playing happily. Then we will do some gardening together, finish up snack, and call it a morning.
