We eat a lot of chocolate chip cookies at our house. I justify our consumption with the knowledge that the cookies have a reduced amount of sugar than what the recipe calls for, that they are home made, that we use whole wheat flour, and that I load them up with flax seeds and wheat germ. But none of this really charges the fact that they are chocolate chip cookies. Whatever. Today it's raining and it has been since early this morning. And since ruby hasn't had much activity and letting her sleep for too long in the afternoon only results in her staying awake way too late in the evening, we needed something to do. We don't make them in the summer, so here's to the first batch of the season!
