If you live in Toronto then you know that this past Thursday was pretty much as good an October day as any upper Canadian can ask for. It was the kind of day that any ideal notion of Indian Summer you could possibly dream up is based on. It was the kind of day where the die hard summer enthusiasts who have been holding off on putting away their shorts and Birkenstocks have been waiting for. It was over 20C and it was sunny. And we were all out enjoying ourselves. This picture was taken just after ruby's ballet lesson. Normally, after the lesson, I'd hustle home to get both kids to sleep for the afternoon but it was just too splendid out to go back inside. Especially with November just around the corner. So we sat in the park and ate crackers and carrot sticks. Arden played in the warm sand and ruby tried to convince me that she didn't need her shirt on. It was awesome.
