1. Check out the view at the bus stop. This is Charlotte on her first day of school waiting on Sideroad 17 for the big orange chariot.
2. Here it comes – our the driver’s name is Tanya.
3. This is charlotte’s cast the evening before she is scheduled to go to Sick Kids and have it removed. It has survived, barely, the month of August – which included a move, trips to the cottage, 12 days of summer camp, numerous dips in the pool where she flirted with trouble while wading in the shallow end, and, I am sure, a number of other close encounters that I don’t know about. Over the past four weeks it was accented with gimp bracelets, mud, pond grime, ketchup, pudding, scrambled eggs, sunblock, bug spray, and no small amount of sweat. When she arrived home after getting it off she made a beeline for the pool and jumped right in.
4. Ruby’s first day of school. Tried my best to get her at the bus stop but she was a whirling dervish and would not stand still. The best i could do was to get her climbing on and walking away. Going going gone. She was so eager to start kindergarten and so thrilled to be at school and so excited to have a new back pack.
5. This is the feast we ordered to celebrate the end of the first week of school and the removal of charlottes cast.
6. This is who prowls about our front porch on sunny days. Happy to have him/her around to help keep the mice in check. Thought about trying to catch it for a good look – it was within arms reach. Then thought again.
