Hoi An pizza

Awesome second day in Hoi An!

Started with a trip to the beach. Landed some awesome beach beds out front of a great restaurant where the deal is that if you buy a few drinks and lunch you can Enjoy the beach chairs to your hearts content.

  • Early beers
  • The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
  • Body surfing the big waves
  • The view from lunch

Homework in the afternoon – Charlotte doing some research to learn about waves and Ruby plowing through her math workbook while Hil and Arden napped.

Then out in the evening to see traditional Vietnamese water puppets. Expect more on that from Ruby later.

There were many highlights of the day but the snack before the puppet show is a standout: Hoi An pizza! Fried wontons with tomato sauce, grilled onions and pineapple, and shrimp! Carol Gulyas – this might just be your new favourite food – so many of the things you like combined on one plate!

    1. I got my wedding dress made in Hoi An for $8 US! (well, not a traditional dress – more of a silk sundress – but used for my wedding). Brining back great memories!
