3 Ginger Snaps

It’s been a whirlwind tour of Singapore, but we’ll be back! So much to do in this city and you have to marvel at the organization – the roads, public transport and green spaces are truly world class. I know Drew already posted pics on our visit to the Botanical Gardens, but I want to share my two cents (via pics).

The pictures don’t do it justice as the orchids were out of this world. So many varieties, each one carefully labeled and taken care of by hand.

I didn’t record the names but each plant was labelled with the English and Latin names.

So happy we brought our journals so we could do some writing in the “cool room”.

And then onto high tea at Raffles….wow, it was out of this world. The girls sampled their first cup of tea – forever spoiled!

We were complimented by other guests about how well behaved the girls were. The waiter brought gifts for the girls – like they needed any more treats!!!

Don’t even ask about the bill – this meal broke the budget but I’m sure it was an experience we will never forget.

And now we’re off to Sea Turtle camp on the East coast of Malaysia – Tioman Island – we’ll be gone for a week to protect Sea Turtle eggs and other projects on the island. We may be out of wifi range so don’t be worried if you don’t hear from us. Maybe we’ll be having high tea island style!!!!
