We left South Easy Asia yesterday with mixed feelings in our hearts and minds. On one hand, We were excited to leave and experience some place totally new. On the other, it is hard to say goodbye to a place that is so rich and diverse in culture and offers so much to experience.
We left with a day that squeezed every last drop out if the experience possible. Breakfast at the hawker stalls, dropped the bags at the airport around midday, ice cream sundaes for lunch.

And then hit a water park near the airport to tire ourselves out before our flight to Sri Lanka. No water park pictures. Sorry.
And we capped off the night with a stroll through the duty free appliance mall at the airport in Colombo, Sri Lanka where blenders, washing machines, and vacuum cleaners are on offer at midnight (and, presumably, all the other hours of the day as well).

I have over the years bought lots of duty free alcohol, perfume, and other miscellany. But duty free washing machines? How do you get it on the airplane??
The ice creams look fantastic!! Arden, did you get stitches or ice cream without stitches?
I hope you have a great time at your new digs!
Love you all

Carrying a bottle of whisky and a dryer back from the airport is the best way to return from a trip abroad.
Enjoy the island, and ty to get some cricket in! Another challenge, try to find a Sri Lankan with a last name of more than 20 letters.

Pablo. Appreciate all the jays updates. Sri Lanka, so far, is both the same and different. And the food is spicier! Cricket is for sure on the to do list. Even if it is just watching a game in a local park. Stay well.
