There is a fascinating geological formation in Drumheller, Alberta called a Hoodoo (who-do). It’s a hard sandstone cap overtop of soft clumped sand. Over time, the elements wear away the soft clumped sand and leave the sandstone cap producing an hourglass shaped feature that is worth at least a few moments of contemplation. So before we struck out for the Rocky Mountains on Sunday morning last, we struck out for the hoodoos just south of Drumheller.

Taking a page out of her uncle Ryan’s book, Charlotte made a beeline for the highest point she could get to.

We spent a happy hour scrambling all over the rocks.

Alberta is beautiful in so many ways.
