London’s museums are free admission and pretty incredible places too. On this brief stay in this spectacular city we have managed to visit the National Gallery and the Natural History Museum. Today we toured through earth’s history, learned about minerals, navigated school groups, learned about our bodies, compared different kinds of dinosaurs and, my favourite…… Continue reading The Natural History Museum
There’s no place like home
And your ginger snaps too! Hard to say what this snap decision was all about. The power of advertising? Fulfilling the wish of a 7 year old? A few surprise extra pounds in the trip budget at the end of the road? my own love for the story of the Wizard of Oz? Or just…… Continue reading There’s no place like home

We are down to the final 72 hours of our epic adventure – and its pedal to the metal! All the world’s a stage
We are soaking up the culture in London – in a manner of speaking. Double decker bus trip around the city this morning. Thorough visit of St. Paul’s cathedral (no pictures allowed inside the building) and a little street life that has made for some intense theorizing this afternoon!
Last stop
4 sleeps until we return to Canada. Took a quick walk around Piccadilly Circus in search of supper after a marathon effort getting to our lodgings. London is going to be memorable!
Cheddar Gorge
We spent last week on a sheep farm. It was us, the wind and the rain, and 4000 sheep (including lambs). More stories to follow about the joys of last week. For me the highlight was the day hike into the Cheddar Gorge. The English Countryside is crisscrossed with numerous footpaths that transect private and…… Continue reading Cheddar Gorge

This is a picture of Ruhy and Charlotte watching the Manchester benefit concert taking place tonight in Manchester in benefit of the victims of bombing that took place at the Arriana Grande concert. Hello from the speed train to London. We began the final leg of our journey today – and in 14 days we return to Canada. Just writing that statement leaves me choked with tears. Nonetheless – here we go. Presently, we are traveling by train from Paris to London. There are a few subtle differences…… Continue reading Last leg
