3 Ginger Snaps

Elephant Valley Project. This is what started it all. Drew came bounding in one day to ask the kids if they wanted to go to Elephant Camp. He had Charlotte at “Hello”, Arden joined in close behind and after Ruby checked out the website and found out that EVP houses orphaned elephants and they had one named Ruby, she was hooked!

I said “sure” as Drew showed me a picture of a loft cabin tucked into the jungle trees…think “glamping”. When I read the fine print later that night I found out that the picture was from the high end part of the place and we would be staying somewhere else with no hot water and power only from 6 to 9 each night. Yikes!

But I’m a camper so I’m game and we’re off on this adventure in a few hours. We’ll be offline until Feb 12th so I’ve escaped to the mall in Phnom Penh for a quick Starbucks hit and soaking in all the a/c I can get. Not sure how I turned into such a princess but it’s the truth!

So we’ll see you soon and I’m sure will have lots of stories, adventures, mishaps and missteps to tell you about. And hopefully a great pick of Ruby & Ruby!
