We just cashed in our free meal ticket provided to us as a courtesy after the first lengthy delay. Cashing in the coupon was an interesting experience because we couldn’t read the coupon and thus couldn’t find the restaurant where we were allowed to cash it in. And we had a few misdirected steps from very well intentioned airport staff that made the hunt for dinner a little more comical.
Made me realize how much courage it would take to show up in Canada not being able to read or write the language. If cashing in my free dinner coupon in a different language is a challenge, what would it be like to have to hit the reset button on life in a different language?
Our flight has been delayed by another hour. What will the next delay lesson be?

Uh oh I hope you get on your flight soon

What a great comparison to immigration Drew. Add to that how so many people are coming to Canada because they’re fleeing an unsafe homeland and it just makes all this anti-immigration movement all the more sad!
