I Ruby went to the jade factory. Jade is very delicate. Jade also comes in many different colours purple, red, green, white, gold, and blue. There are many different kinds of jade. The emerald green is most expensive.
Carving jade is a skill passed from generation to generation. It takes a lot of time to make a carving of jade. The tools that were used to make the carvings were made of diamonds. Here’s a picture of someone carving jade.
When the carving is done they make it smooth by polishing it with sandpaper and cloths.
My dad let me get a jade necklaces. Here’s a picture of it.
It is so pretty. I love it. The girl who took us around the shop told me a story about the necklace. The necklace symbolizes the universe. When you speak into the hole in the necklace and God will hear you and make your wish come true.

Ruby, that was a very interesting blog about Jade…most people would say it only comes in a green colour, so that was something new to learn. Aren’t you lucky to have a piece of jade. I know you will treasure it and you will remember your outing to the jade factory.
