Koh Rok

We Spent the day exploring one of Thailand’s finest snorkelling destinations: Kho Rok.

Longtail Boatride and morning nap to the destination took 90mins.

Giant Monitor Lizard the size of Charlotte at morning pee break.

The toothbrush keeping the engine running.

Spectacular clear turquoise water to explore.

Private beach lunch with 1000s of hermit crabs.

We don’t have any pictures from below the surface. All we can say is we felt as though we had been transported to another planet. The range of colours and life forms was overwhelming. And Charlotte, Boots and Drew saw a shark! A small shark – but a shark nonetheless!

We were refreshed with cold coconuts

And then it was time for a sunny and peaceful ride back to Koh Lanta.

Arden with her two favourite people

Arden passed out only moments later

Charlotte doing her best to finish Anne of Green Gables

Today was our last day of Thai adventures with Cate and Boots. Tomorrow we travel back to Bangkok, spend a night in an airport hotel, and then cate and boots head back to Toronto and we strike out for Singapore!

  3. Hilarious and scary that the toothbrush is vital for the engine to work. No dance party on the trip to the snorkelling hotspot like the Dominican Republic?!
Still can’t believe that crew member or used the rope as his own private pole to dance with? Or that crazy booze (swamp water) we chugged Drew?
Judging by the marine life you saw in Thailand, I would say the toothbrush engine for 90 minutes topped our D.R. Booze Cruise!

  4. On re-reading this post and looking at the pictures I have an important question that other readers may want to know about too

Your caption for a picture says:
“Giant Monitor Lizard the size of Charlotte at morning pee”

How did you find out that the Lizard was having his/her morning pee?
