We’ve just about shaken all the sand out of our hair from our week on the beach on Tioman Island.
Today we soaked up the A/C at the movies. Beauty and the Beast. Followed by Boss Baby. Popcorn, peanut M&Ms, fuzzy peaches, Root Beer. Gut Rot…
It was pretty awesome.

I don’t know much about music as all who have ever met me will attest but I do know that sometimes singers and others are measured on how many octaves they can span, in effect quantifying their flexibility and range
Your Trip seems to span many octaves of experiences and adventures as well as foods, accommodations, and more.
Keep having lots of fun!

I’m so jealous! Why aren’t I doing this sort of thing more in Toronto??

I often have the same thought while traveling. All kinds of similar stuff is available in Toronto. The difference is the freedom and lack of routine that comes with the type of travel we are doing. So much of life is pre-meditated routine. On a trip like this one – we have very few routines. In some circumstances, this is hard – especially for the kids when they don’t know what to expect. In other circumstances, we all
Love it because we just get to make it up as we go, one day at a time! It’s very responsive to the opportunities as they come. Sometimes responsive to the consequences as they come too – like the Air B&B host who didn’t show to let us in on our transition night between Turtle Camp and KL. We had walked 1500m with all our gear and we were hot and sweaty and it was 7pm and we hadn’t had dinner. So we ended up in a less than desirable motel eating dinner from a gas station convenience store… all because we booked less than 24 hours in
Advance – or so I presume. We are learning to take it as it comes. And sometimes we do a better job of that than at other times when anyone of us can and do meltdown/blow a gasket/come unstrung. But somebody else maintains composure and we get back on track. All learning.
